Animoto is a Web 2.0 tool that allows us to make amazing videos to the beat of music.  It does all the work of timing and "popping" the pictures to the tune for us.  We're finding that when students study by creating Animotos, their comprehension skyrockets as they thoughtfully choose pictures, songs, and text to best represent their vocabulary word or concept.  Sharing Animotos with classmates is a must, so motivation to create something meaningful is built in.

Wordle.net is a Web 2.0 tool that allows us to paste in text from anywhere (a student's writing, a web page, etc.) and turn it into a "Beautiful Word Cloud."  Inherent in Wordle is a word frequency analysis since the more a word is used, the larger it becomes in the cloud.  Your students' writing projects will become pieces of art when they're "Wordled."
